Biomass Chipper Hire – Marks Hall Estate
Following the clear felling of approximately 10 acres of trees at Marks Hall Estate, Kingwell Hire were contacted for our biomass chipper hire to convert the brash and stumps into a useable biomass product.
The trees were owned by the forestry commission who have been tenants on the estate since world war 2.
The initial works were carried out by a forestry contractor during the winter of 17-18 with the waste left in situ. Kingwell Hire first commenced work on the site in summer 2018, removing all the stumps, and windrowing everything ready for later processing.
Using a forwarder, all the stumps and brash were moved to a large concrete pad to speed up the processing time ahead of the arrival of the Rotochopper B66T Biomass Chipper.
A great company, very efficient and well organised
Processing of the waste was carried out over a 7 day period. Some of the larger stumps were split down in able to be accommodated by the Rotochopper whole tree chipper.
